Piedmont Folkways Presents the Backstreet Trio
Live at the Iredell Arts Council Old Jail Listening Room
Description
Don’t miss The Backstreet Trio!
Backstreet Trio’s free-range acoustic roots music is well-burnished by years of playing good songs for good audiences. The trio draws on the deep well of the American songbook focusing on popular music that people know and love, and music with traditional North Carolina roots. There’s also a smattering of original songs thrown into the mix. Tight vocal harmonies are a hallmark of their signature sound.
Roger Miller, from Lenoir, sings and plays guitar and clawhammer banjo. Jeff Pardue, from Wilkesboro, sings and plays fiddle, accordion and banjo. Tom Kuhn from Charlotte plays bass and sings harmonies.
